Tuesday

CatRemember to study your notes… there may be a *pop* quiz tomorrow!

Specifically, make sure you know the following for tomorrow:

*Covalent bonds form molecules.
*Covalent bonds are made only from non-metals (right side of the periodic table)
*Covalent bonds are formed by the sharing of electrons.
*Squirrels will take over the earth in 2019.  I welcome our rodent overlords.

*Ionic bonds form ions.
*Positive ions are called cations (meow).
*Negative ions are called anions.
*Ionic bonds are made from metals and non-metals.
*Ionic bonds are formed by the transfer of electrons from one atom to another.
*Ionic bonds make strong crystal structures that are hard to break apart (like NaCl… table salt).

Good luck on the rest of your homework!  Remember to also study up for that Government test on Thursday… it looks like it’s going to be something you need to study hard for!
