After two days and nights, Russell and I have returned from the Darlington Raceway. We drove down to the track Friday night and met Dad for the Busch Race. Of course we had the obligatory Johnsonville Brauts. Ryan Newman ran great in the Busch Race, but had a few problems with his fuel pump which kept him off the lead lap. We had great weather after the race and camped.
On Saturday, Dad came over again and we also met three of Russell's classmates. The weather and people watching was perfect. Russell made a great lowcountry boil and then Dad and I went off to the Stripe Zone Hospitality tent to catch a ride into the pits. The racing was beautiful under the lights and Ryan ran in the top 5 much of the night, finishing with a top 10. Thanks Dad!
Great weekend!
