New Stove Installed

Jesse (husband of one of Anna’s co-residents) came over to the house this afternoon to help me install a new pull cord on the pressure washer since I yanked the old one out trying to power wash the house a few weeks ago. Our new stove came in to Lowe’s this morning, so he stayed over to help me unload it from the truck. Then, he stayed a while longer to help me get it out of the box. Then we took measurements and realized that I was going to have to do some major cabintry work and basically remove about 4 inches from the existing cabinet spaces around the old stove.

Jesse couldn’t resist the challenge, so we worked furiously for six long hours (including a trip to Moe’s for dinner) with copious amounts of sawing, cutting, nailing, cussing and exorbant of time searching for the tape measure, which mysteriously kept disappearing. The final product is beautiful and I’m completely shocked that we were able to fit it on on the first attempt.

Old Stove…

After hours of carpentry and electrical work, New Stove…

…and the finished product…

Between the new stove and my installation of the new sink last week, I’m feeling manly! Here’s a final pic of the new sink…

What you don’t see is the intricate and complicated plumbing that I performed to get this thing (and the newly installed garbage disposal) working underneath the sink. Now all I need is to start showing my butt crack more and I’ll be a full time plumber!
