Sylvia literally stumbled into our lives in 2003 on a morning walk in the Columbia, SC neighborhood where we lived.

She was disheveled, loving and looking for a bath, water, food and even a home.

We ended up sharing the last six years with her while she gave us a ton of love and laughs in return for those baths, tooth brushings, hair clippings (oh, the hair!) and meals (that she had to eat quickly because of Schaefer).

I had a blast with you, Blue. From hikes to cancer to breath mints to amputations, it was a rollercoaster that taught me many things.

You’ll always be a part of my life. Thank you for sharing the last six years of your life with me, Anna, MH (and Michael, Schaefer, Lexi, Cosmo and Macy).

You are and will be missed.
