Instapaper is quickly becoming indispensable for how I gather information from the daily wide-piped torrent that is the web.

I’ve been a pro user of the service for a long while and have used it to push content from my iPhone to my Kindle to my browser to my iPad etc for a while. However, I’ve just recently started using their excellent recommended sources function and it is quite impressive.

So far I have “Editor’s Picks,” a best-of-day from Wikipedia and the Techmeme firehose piping into my account (all in separate folders). It augments Twitter Lists and my feed reader well as a more nuanced discovery stream.

I don’t see Instapaper replacing my feed reader (more on that soon) but it is providing the valuable service of being a curator now.
