Typewriter

I’m not sure if I hate this or love this… my feelings vacillate with my clumsy fingers that have grown rusty and accustomed to hitting the “delete” key to quickly correct mistakes…

Typewriter: Minimal Text Editor [Freeware]: “It’s super, super simple and basic. All you can do is type in one direction. You can’t delete, you can’t copy, you can’t paste. You can save and print. And you can switch between black text on white and green on black; full screen and window.”

I love typing on my 1926 Underwood 4 Bank (pic is above), but I also see the validity in the quick edit for home-taught typers (I had to suffer through 9th grade “keyboarding class in 1993 where we basically learned how to rename filenames to make it look like we did work instead of playing Doom the entire period).

Perhaps Typewriter is on to something, though. I don’t see myself using this in “production” scenarios, but when it comes to free writing (or longer blog posts here), I can see the use of getting out of the way of my brain.

Nifty and novel regardless.
