Shareist Looks Tremendous
I’m strongly considering moving over the class hub my students and I use (currently on WordPress) over to Shareist.
Here’s a great “List” that Scott Jangro has put together on affiliate marketing (basically serves as his blog/tumblr/delicious/pinterest site):
Affiliate Marketing: “Jangro’s List”
I’ve been in the Shareist beta for a while and keep neglecting my interest because I know it’s going to drag me away from WordPress.
Over the next few days, I’ll be diving pretty heavily into the platform to kick the tires and see what my students think. If they do and it’s as easy as I anticipate, I can see moving some of my other affiliate sites that way.
The ability to quickly share, organize and curate is so effective for affiliate marketers and I like how Shareist handles things compared to Pinterest, which is more “product” based by nature.
Scott and his team have done a great job putting the platform together. Now I just wish he would use it more himself (and bring back BUMPzee).

We need to talk ..

Forgot about that. Yes, let’s!
Skype me tomorrow.
Thanks Sam.
I find that it is incredibly difficult to find time to make great tools and make great *use* of them. I pretty much spend all my time building them, so I need to rely on others to use them and let us know how they are.
Shareist doesn’t *have* to drag you away from WordPress, Sam. Sure, in some cases it can replace it, like from Jangro.com I imported 7 years of WordPress blogging into Shareist (and haven’t missed it for one minute). In others, it can act as the publishing hub and push content out to WordPress.
While I think it makes a killer website, a website itself is just a small part of what Shareist can do. As you create and curate content and publish it on your shareist site, you can also distribute some or all of it out to twitter, facebook, linkedin, wordpress, tumblr, even your opt-in email lists with a newsletter builder.
I think you’ll see that the possibilities are so much broader, or different, than “replace wordpress”.
Thanks for the praise but now you need to give Shareist a try!
I know I know
Will be experimenting this weekend!
Scott, I’m really interested in moving teacherwithoutaclassroom.com over to Shareist.com. I’m currently using WordPress, but like what Shareist is about and think it would be a great match.
Sounds great. Let’s talk about what that would take and make it happen.
Also, I’d love the opportunity to sit down with you and Sam while we’re all together at ASW somewhere other than at a nightclub. I want to learn more about keyston.es, and I would also enjoy the opportunity to talk about curation, publishing models, and affiliate stuff.
Maybe if you two are still around on Tuesday morning we can grab breakfast or a coffee and hang out for a while.
Sounds great! We could do dinner tonight around 6:30 or breakfast tomorrow morning. What works for you?
